“Chalta hun Thori der Har ek Tezrao ke Saath
Pehchanta Nahin hun Abhi Rahbar ko Mein”
(May need correction)
Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) grew up in a land of idol worship where pagans bowed to false gods like moon, stars, sun and statues. But he saw the moon, sun and stars transitory, all disappearing after their shining time.
He was not convinced, he did not worship idols, stars, moon or sun. He wanted to know the true Creator, only the True One.
The above couplet of Ghalib is thought to attribute this story of Hazrat Ibrahim.
(Wandering in the cosmos, captivating every doubt and deceptions as true. But the quest has yet to find the one True Creator and worship Him alone.)
